Automatic Ice Rake
Summary
Designed and installed electrical controls for Automatic Ice rake.
The customer had two ice machines located on top of a containerized ice storage bin. The requirement was to control the mechanical aspects of the rake to keep the ice level to maximise the volume of ice stored. We also controlled the discharge of ice through augers into bins for fish.
We had to ensure all safety aspects were taken care of to ensure operability of machinery and safety of personal operating the ice system.
In this instance we chose the Schneider M340 PLC with Magelis operator interface to provide the required control and provide ease of use to the operator.
